Peru contracts B100 yet again from Heaven Petroleum Operators

In Peru, La Republica reports state-owned company Petroperú selected the offer from the national company Heaven Petroleum Operators (HPO) for the supply of B100 biodiesel, after a process in which foreign firms Trafigura and Repsol Trading, as well as BioEnergy Peru also presented their respective economic proposals. 

HPO is the same supplier that won a previous tender for the supply of 280,000 barrels of the same product for $74 million, but that would be annulled on December 23 after Petroperú detected that a notary public had not intervened.

On this occasion, Petroperú acquired 300,000 barrels to cover the supply from January to April 2022. The amount would amount to around $84 million. The notary public Rulby Vela Velásquez was part of the procedure.
