In Malaysia, the Edge Markets reports that the national biodiesel association believes a B10 roll out plan could be possible following this year’s upcoming elections but political will be required to counter a likely increase in prices at the pump. Achieving B10 from the current B7 policy is seen as a way to create a floor price for palm oil by further boosting demand. Following the government’s B10 trial in 2013 that showed no negative impact on vehicles, the association believes that non-technical reasons for to be blame for holding up the policy’s implementation.
