In Washington, CNN reports that President Biden signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act, calling the $750 billion health care, tax and climate legislation “one of the most significant laws in our history.” The bill was widely supported by biofuel groups thanks to its support for renewable energy and fuels, particularly sustainable aviation fuels. Republicans pushed hard against the bill, but Republican majority states are still expected to benefit from clean energy investments despite their lack of support.
