Rabobank study shows US SAF production could reach 2.2B gallons by 2026

August 31, 2023 |

In Illinois, World Grain reports that a new Rabobank study shows sustainable aviation fuel production in the US could reach 2.2 billion gallons by 2026, up from just 25 million gallons right now, and grow to up to 34 billion gallons by 2050. Rabobank expects SAFs, 40% of which are currently produced from ethanol, will extend the demand for liquid biofuels for decades beyond what might otherwise be the case if internal combustion engines are phased out.
