In Brazil, Reuters reports Raizen has secured ISCC CORSIA Plus certification from ICAO for its ethanol-based SAF produced at its Piracicaba facility, becoming the first ethanol producer in the world to do so, even if it is unclear exactly how much ethanol-based SAF it will produce. Brazil as seen as a potential solution to the SAF supply gap thanks to being a global leader of both ethanol and soy-based biodiesel production. Last year, Raizen teamed with Embraer to boost SAF production.
