#5 Liva cellulose-based fabric expanded to sarees

In India, multinational Aditya Birla Group will introduce sarees made from its “new-age” fabric, Liva, at the Kolkata Fashion Expo.

The company has already seen strong sales of stoles, kurtis, and leggings made from the cellulose-based Liva material, which is soft and fluid. Aditya Birla Group subsidiary Birla Cellulose says the fibers are also 100% natural and absorbent. Kolkata Fashion Expo, to be held August 6, is India’s largest saree event.
