In Argentina, state-run news agency Telam said that biofuels exports this year could reach a record of 1.37 million tons, according to a report by the Rosario Grain Exchange (BCR).
According to data from the country’s statistics bureau Indec, biodiesel exports in the first eight months of the year reached 913,000 tons,
In the case of bioethanol, the entity indicated that “production has reached unprecedented levels.”
“Although in recent years the production of bioethanol from corn was below the 2018 record when 586,000 cubic meters were produced, in 2022 the current level of production indicates that this record could be broken,” according to the report.
According to BCR, bioethanol production for 2022 could reach 677,000 cubic meters.
