In Korea, AJP reported that Korean oil refiner S-Oil Corp has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with low cost airline T’way Air to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and collaborate on joint marketing initiatives. Under the terms of the agreement, S-Oil will provide SAF for T’way Air’s commercial flights to Japan starting this month, with plans to expand supply for future routes. “Through this collaboration with T’way Air on SAF and co-marketing, we are actively working towards sustainable growth in the oil refining and aviation industries,” an S-Oil representative said. S-Oil, which began producing SAF earlier this year using bio-feedstocks like used cooking oil, obtained international certification ISCC CORSIA for its product in April, according to the report. The report noted that the deal follows previous marketing collaborations between the two companies.
