In India, SolarQuarter reported that Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for the procurement of green ammonia producers, aligning with the objectives of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The tender presents an opportunity for the production and supply of Green Ammonia in India under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I). The RfS, facilitated under Mode 2A of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Program, spearheaded by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), aims to catalyze the production of green ammonia in India. Through cost-based competitive bidding, SECI seeks to identify producers capable of generating green ammonia to meet the country’s growing demand for sustainable energy solutions, according to the report.
