In Florida, the South Florida Community College is applying for a $900,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to create two Associate-in-Science degree programs designed to prepare students for careers in biofuels production.
The program will partner with BP Biofuels/ Vercipia, U.S Envirofuels, and Southeast Renewable Fuels to offer curriculum that encompasses both cellulosic ethanol and Brazilian sugarcane processes.
