In China, China Daily reported that Chinese refiner Sinopec has put into operation what it claims to be China’s first integrated methanol hydrogen production and refueling station. The facility is located in in Dalian, Liaoning province, according to the report. The station, capable of producing 1,000 kilograms of hydrogen each day, uses a methanol-to-hydrogen process, the firm said. According to Sinopec, the storage and transportation are the major factors that restrict the development of the hydrogen energy industry in China.
