Summit Carbon Solutions buys out several Iowa Navigator CO2 land easement agreements

In Iowa, the Charles City Press newspaper reports Summit Carbon Solutions has bought out many land easement agreements from Navigator CO2 following that company’s decision to no longer pursue a CO2 pipeline project. Doing so helps to save time and money, although it requires rerouting its plans in the state. Summit received approval for the project, with provisions, by the Iowa Utilities Commission in June, but it still has several legal hurdles to jump through before it can start construction. So far, Iowa is the only state to give the greenlight to the pipeline project.
