#5 “Budding” horticulturists can enjoy bioplastic garden playset

Danish toymaker Dantoy has launched a biobased playset appropriately themed as a gardening kit. Suitable for ages two and up, the Dantoy BioPlastic Gardening Kit includes a watering can, shovel, rake, two pots, two signs, and a sheet of stickers.

According to a product description on e-commerce site Smallable, the gardening kit is “perfect for budding horticulturists! It’s solid and durable design lets kids discover the world of gardening and will keep them entertained for hours.”

The bioplastic is derived from sugarcane ethanol, and the sugarcane originates from pesticide-free plantations in Brazil. For each kilogram of bioplastic manufactured, over 3 kilograms of carbon dioxide are removed from the atmosphere. The playset retails for £29 (USD$35).
