In Thailand, the Nation newspaper reports that only B7 and B20 diesel will be available at the pump from May 1, 2024 as the government discontinues the sale of B10 in an effort to simplify purchase choices and reduce confusion amongst customers while still enabling it to achieve biodiesel consumption goals. Discontinuing B10 isn’t expected to reduce palm oil demand, which currently stands at around 377,000 metric tons annually for biodiesel production, with demand expected to increase to 388,000 tons next year.
