7. Carry Your Hydrogen in this Nice DME basket

OK, hydrogen is all the rage and surely the world needs more affordable and clean hydrogen for all kinds of applications — only the Sun really has enough for its needs right now — but, how do you move it around? Hydrogen gas pipelines? Injecting H2 into NG lines? Or what? As Oberon Fuels CEO Rebecca Boudreaux noted in this slide, the answer may well lie in DME, which can leverage the existing propane pipeline system (which is extensive). One DME tanker carries as much hydrogen as 3-4 tube trailers carrying compressed hydrogen — and with DME, no need to compress.
