
9. India Rocks, Europe Re-Tools, US Re-Thinks
We’ve highlighted changes in EU policy on renewables and India’s momentum before. While the U.S. ponders electrifying everything, India will be advancing toward its goal of using every form of waste as a feedstock to make energy, in a country where growth is important, oil is scarce and air pollution is already problematic. In India, it’s a deployment story. Meanwhile, the EU will continue to pivot towards advanced transportation engines and fuels and away from first generation biofuels — for the time present, the EU will continue to be a development story. In the U.S., it is a decision story.
