The Top 25 advanced bioeconomy capital raises of the year

In Florida, The Digest reports that the Top 25 capital raises in the advanced bioeconomy raised 1.146 billion in new capital during 2015 for company development — and pilot, demonstration and commercial-scale projects.

Notable transactions in the period include the $172M IPO for Green Plains Partners and the $108M raise for Enerkem , a monster $108M early stage venture round for Impossible Foods, and a $68.6M IPO for Arcadia BioSciences, the crop trait company.

Average deal size among the Top 25 was $45.86M and the median size was $36.05M.
