Then: I was involved in the structuration of biofuels programs in Ecopetrol. Based on this program was erected a new biodiesel unit from CPO in the Barrancabermeja Refinery and a new etanol plant fron sugar cane in the east part of Colombia.

Now: Today I am retired fron Ecopetrol and I work as an independant consultant on fuels, biofuels, alternatives energies and enviromental issues associated. “The world is on its way for reducing oil consumption to reduce the CO2 emissions in order to get that the average temperature of the planet doesn’t increase more than 2 deg centigrades, to reduce the probability that the global warming become the cause of the next global catastrophe.

Inspirations: I would like to be part of the solution and help that the world change the situation and the next generations, including my relatives, can enjoy the planet whithout environmental restriccion or the thinking that the world is been destroied by the human being.”

Challenges:  The most challenging thing is facing the positions of the people in politic and big companies that, for protecting their economic interests, doesn’t care to destroy the environment and to make that many species be extinguished or reduced drastically its population, including the human being.
