Then: I had just finished putting together a biodiesel capacity for a local food bank and was at the start of a couple of years as an advisor to RSB’s bio-materials sustainability certification efforts.

Now: I’m retired and kibitzing on any number of issues, including staying in touch with biofuels and renewable energy development.

Inspirations: I greatly appreciate the potential inherent in the bio-economy and truly hope we won’t lose the opportunity by investing too much in fossil fuel technologies.

Challenges: Scale-up challenges, including financing, are the most challenging, but policy paralysis, especially what I expect from this administration, may prove to be its undoing.
