Then:  I was CTO at Kreido building biodiesel plant in Wilmington, NC. I was invited to Israel to advise government on biofuels. Visited India in search of Jatropha partners.

Now: Teaching college and getting ready to fly to China to speak about N. America biofuel polices. Serving as expert witness on biofuel plant cases. Writing on biomass growing and economics on land use.

Inspirations: World has to accept biotech outside of narrow and nationalistic agricultural policies. Rejection on GMO and trade issues slows the needs of many for narrow interests of the few.

Challenges:  Technology changes slowly in capital intensive industries. Energy and food are extremely national in regulation so transfer across world is slow. Need to break down barriers.
