7. LCFS a-go-go

LCFS vs RFS, who is the greatest? Well probably a judicious combination of the two, as we reported here.

But low carbon fuel standards are in great vogue right now at the state and regional level. Once, it was just California. Then, Oregon, then British Columbia. Now, a Northeastern group of states are said to be re-focusing on a clean fuel standard about a decade after previous efforts foundered. The Midwestern states, too, are mulling the options. More to come this year, we think.
