TotalEnergies to invest in $76M upgrade to process waste feedstocks

July 4, 2023 |

In France, the Oil and Gas Journal reports TotalEnergies will begin processing circular renewable feedstocks at its La Mède biorefinery. The EUR70 million upgrade will take place during the biorefinery’s first major shut down next year that will allow it to process waste fats including used cooking oil, a move that will allow it to produce fuels from 100% waste-based feedstocks and help achieve its goal of 75% waste-based feedstocks for all of its biofuels.
