In India, CNBC TV18 reports Triveni Engineering plans to divert 12% of its sugar production to ethanol this season, in line with industry expectations that, overall, plans to divert a record 4.5 million metric tons of sugar to ethanol. The company is also expanding its ethanol production capacity, like many other sugarcane millers, to 1.1 million liters per day from the current 600,000 liters per day by 2025. To achieve this goal, two new ethanol distilleries producing 225,000 liters per day each have been improved by the board for implementation.
