In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, US ethanol production averaged 1.057 million barrels per day —or 44.39 million gallons daily. That is up 1,000 b/d from the week before and the fourth-highest rate of output ever recorded.
The four-week average for ethanol production increased 2% to 1.043 million b/d for an annualized rate of 15.99 billion gallons.
Average weekly gasoline demand increased 0.4% to 398.8 million gallons (9.496 million barrels) daily. This is equivalent to 145.6 billion gallons annualized. Refiner/blender input of ethanol decreased 1.3% to 918,000 b/d, equivalent to 14.07 billion gallons annualized and the lowest in six weeks. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production decreased to 11.13%.
