According to EIA data as reported by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 889,000 barrels per day last week—or 37.34 million gallons daily. RFA adds: “That is down 42,000 b/d (or 4.5%) from the week before and the lowest average since the week ending 3/21/2014. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 917,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.06 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 18.6 million barrels. That is a 1.1% decrease from last week and the first stocks draw in five weeks.”
EIA also reported that gasoline demand for the week averaged 368.8 million gallons daily, up from the prior week. Blender/refiner input of ethanol was up sharply (4.7%) to 886,000 b/d—nearly matching ethanol output. Biorefineries also produced 98,616 metric tons of livestock feed, and also 5.23 million pounds of corn distillers oil daily.
