In France, WAGABOX® unit at the Monflanquin landfill in Southwestern France, has started operations, injecting Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) into the local gas network. The project is a partnership between Waga Energy and Biogaz Monflanquin (a joint venture between Valorizon and AVERGIES), marking a major step in the regional energy transition.
The Monflanquin WAGABOX® unit will produce approximately 41,000 MMBtu (12 GWh) per year, enough to supply 2,000 households. This renewable gas will prevent roughly 3,200 tons of CO₂ equivalent emissions annually.
